DEADSTICK INFO

Deadstick ice fishing excursions are a bit unique as much as a learning experience for clients.  These guided ice fishing trips combine expertise, experience, local knowledge, fisheries biology/ecology, and customized products made locally to target big local sport fish species.

Ice fishing can be a difficult challenge in Alaska battling the cold, thick ice conditions, overflow, finding structure, and most importantly finding the fish (to name just a few challenges)!  Deadstick has worked relentlessly on local waters for years figuring all that out for their clients.  The lead guide and owner has years of working for ADF&G, USF&W, USGS, and local fishing shops and experimenting with hundreds of tackle rigs.  With 2 degrees, and 6 years of education studying local fisheries this company has a wealth of knowledge to share with eager and determined clients itching to target big fish.

Determining where to fish a body of water, what species to target, and how to locate those seemingly elusive fish can drive new ice-fishing anglers insane wondering what they're doing wrong?!  Don't worry, we got you covered!  Several local lakes hold great hard water fishing opportunities for friends and families.  Varying from easy and comfortable beginner commodities to advanced "run and gun" techniques used in tournaments.

Furthering our unique guiding experience, we believe in quality; with that said, our services use custom-built ice rods and depending on conditions, custom-built tackle rigs.  Tried and true methods that have produced landing big Arctic char and lake trout will give ice anglers the opportunity to use top-notch local gear to feel the difference in quality.

Deadstick is a family-oriented guiding company at its core and welcomes everyone!  We are a Veteran owned company, and place military, veterans, and first responders, and getting children involved in the outdoors as our uppermost honor and opportunity with discounts for these individuals.
